As a third-generation Mambo Assogwe, or High Priestess, she draws upon the ancestral lineage of both her mother and father in her spiritual practice. From the tender age of seven, she embarked on a path of spiritual work, guided by her innate connection to the unseen realms.
Mrs. Victor, known as Adieu Minfo Bon Mambo, served as La Belle Deesse Sr.'s spiritual mother. Mrs. Victor was herself a renowned Mambo, having been initiated as the spiritual daughter of Agasse Gacon Bon Houngan. She held a prominent position at Lacour Pon Sonde Numero 1 in Wanne 93, Carrefour, and commanded great respect and admiration within the local community. Under Mrs. Victor's guidance, La Belle Deesse Sr. learned the sacred rituals and traditions of Haitian Vodou, laying the foundation for her own spiritual journey.
On July 18, 1984, at the age of 33, La Belle Deesse Sr. was initiated as a Mambo Assogwe, marking a significant milestone in her spiritual evolution. Embracing the name Soulage Minfo Bon Mambo, she assumed the responsibility of a High Priestess, committed to upholding the sacred practices and beliefs of her lineage. Tragically, the following year, her spiritual mother, Mrs. Victor, passed away, leaving a profound void in her life. Nevertheless, La Belle Deesse Sr. remains dedicated to honoring her spiritual mother's legacy by faithfully adhering to the traditions of her society.
